Music is a unique way of knowing that provides a window into what it means to be human. By giving students access to everyday beauty and a cognitive, psychomotor, and affective relationship to the world, music education empowers them to be self-expressive agents for change. Students’ enjoyment through understanding will keep the art form alive and empower those around them.
